NOT YOUR USUAL OPEN MIC — Tosco Music Open Mic is not your usual open mic — come see why! Each month in Charlotte, NC, music lovers of all ages and experience levels gather for a smaller, open mic version of the larger local Tosco Music Parties. Next on Dec. 12, 2018 — then first Wednesdays Jan 2, Feb 6, Mar 6, Apr 3, May 1, Jun 5, 2019.
Starting with an open singalong circle where everyone who wants to can strum along, we revisit some of our favorites together to warm up before anyone who has signed up takes the stage. Whether you’re an experienced musician or ready to try performing for the first time, the evening offers a supportive community atmosphere where you can share your love of music.
Anyone can sign up to perform! Sign ups start at 7pm inside the front entrance after guests pay the cover charge at the door. Performance slots are first come, first pick, although order may be slightly rearranged to accommodate young students who need the earliest times slots.
A $3 cover charge is collected at the door and supports The Evening Muse’s the travelling musicians fund. Adults visiting The Evening Music for the first time will pay an additional one-time lifetime $1 membership registration. Guests under 17 need an accompanying adult to enter.
The Evening Muse is located at 3227 N. Davidson Street at the corner of 36th Street in NoDa.

Tosco Music is a nonprofit organization that has been enhancing community through music in Charlotte, NC for the past 30 years. Born from intimate living room jam sessions, Tosco Music Parties have grown into popular community concerts where nationally recognized acts share the stage with undiscovered artists and audience members are invited to sing along throughout the evening.
From concerts and open mic nights to music scholarships, singalong parties in senior communities and other music outreach, Tosco Music is dedicated to helping the community explore, develop and share their passion for music in all its forms.
It is our mission to present a wide variety of music through performances and outreach programs; foster a sense of community among listeners and performers; and connect professional and amateur musicians to share and inspire one another.
